Sound Meditation and Healing

IMC-Lewes offers Sound Meditation and Healing Weekend Buddhist teacher and sound healing practitioner Carol Colacurcio returns to the Cape region for a weekend of healing on Febuary 5th and 6th at Saint Peter’s Episcopal Parish Hall in Lewes. On Friday evening, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Colacurcio will conduct a guided music meditation and introduce its benefits. Saturday morning’s workshop, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. will further explore the use of sound to enhance one’s mental, physical, and emotional health. Using the chakra system as a guide (spinning vortexes of energy extending from the spinal column), attendees will learn to release stagnant energy and connect to the dynamic stillness within. While chairs are provided, comfortable clothing and floor mats or blankets are encouraged to deepen the experience. Carol Colacurcio is a classically trained musician, skilled in the use of cross-cultural music and sound healing as well as a long time Nyingma Tibetan Buddhist practitioner. She lives in Front Royal, VA where she sees clients for music and healing work and is an expert in Music in Hospice. She has taught at local community colleges and has produced her own original music including two CDs – Sound Accord and Tibetan Singing Bowls. Saint Peter’s Episcopal Parish Hall is at second and Mulberry Streets in Lewes. The suggested donation is $5.00 for the Public Talk and $25.00 for the workshop with suggested limited income discount of 50%. The door opens at 8:30 a.m. For information contact Nick Edge at 302-945-4094 or info@imc-lewes.org.
